Is FCCS accredited?

FCCS is a fully accredited member of the Florida Association of Christian Colleges and Schools (FACCS) and is a charter member of the Christian Schools of Duval County (CSDC).

Are your teachers certified?

All of our teachers must hold a minimum of a bachelor degree with a major or minor in their field of instruction. Each teacher is certified through FACCS and must regularly participate in professional development to maintain that certification.

Is there financial aid and scholarships available?

At this time, we do not offer financial aid to students. The only scholarship we accept is Step Up for Students, which is an income based scholarships. More information can be found on stepupforstudents.org.

Do you have before or after school care?

Before and after school care is offered to all enrolled students at FCCS. Parents need to sign-up for this service on a monthly basis. We offer before care from 6:45 a.m. to 7:50 a.m. and after care from 2:40 p.m. to 6 p.m. for preschool and elementary school students. Aftercare is offered for middle and high school students from 3:30 p.m. to 6 p.m.

What is the dress code?

The students at FCCS wear uniforms which are to be purchased from Sunshine School Uniform. A dress code is established to remind parents and students that dress and appearance must be in good taste and not be a distraction to the operation of the school and its purpose.

What kind of curriculum do you use?

FCCS uses a combination of A Beka Book, Christian Publishers and Bob Jones University Press curricula in K3 through Sixth grades. In the upper school, predominately A Beka Book and Bob Jones University Press is used.

Do you have standardized testing?

Yes. All FCCS students from K5 through eleventh grade take the Stanford Achievement Test 10. This test is required for enrollment and parents should plan to have their student present for testing week. Scores are used for middle school students to help determine class placement for high school.

Do you provide lunch for students?

FCCS offers a hot lunch to all students daily. Parents may credit their student’s accounts online for use by the student. Students may also bring their lunch if they choose. Lunch prices are available through the school office.

What are the class times?

The class times are as follows by grade level: K3 - K4 8:10 - 11:30 (half day); K3 - K5 8:10 - 2:40 (full day); 1st–6th 8:10 - 2:50; 7th–12th 8:00 - 3:10.
