Dear Parents,

At First Coast Christian School we welcome the opportunity to work with you and your children. We strive to uphold the highest spiritual and academic standards possible. Our teachers truly desire to see each student succeed in life and strive to put a personal touch in everything they do.

During this time in a student’s life, we know how important it is to instill a positive lifestyle and encourage academic success. We do both by teaching students to be Christ-like in all they do while offering a curriculum that enhances traditional, educational instruction. We also offer help classes, prayer groups and smaller class sizes to our elementary students.

To learn more about what we have to offer, please call or come by the school. If you would like to schedule a visit to our school, please call our school office at (904)777-3040. We also offer an “Open House” to the community every Thursday in which visitors will have the opportunity to tour the school with the Elementary Principal or another administrator.

Thank You,

Larry Smith
Elementary Principal

Elementary Highlights

Bible program
Daily Bible lessons are taught in every classroom. Prayer, memorization of scripture and spiritual growth are stressed during this time. We fully believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God and that its truth should become a real part of each Christian’s life.

Elementary school teachers use the traditional approach to instruction in the classroom. The academic day consists of core subjects including Bible, Reading, Phonics, Language, Spelling, Math, Science, History, and Health.

Resource classes
Resource subjects of Computer, PE, Library and Music are taught by resource teachers. These classes provide students to expand their area of interest and learning on a weekly basis.

After school and extracurricular activities are a very important part of the elementary education experience at First Coast Christian School. We strive to give our students the best opportunities to learn and experience music, art and athletics. Giving elementary students this opportunity, allows them to become more well-rounded learners as they move on to our upper school. At FCCS, we not only offer great resources for extracurricular learning, we also provide and outlet for students to compete and excel in their area of interest including a spelling bee, a creative writing competition and a fine arts competition.

Throughout the week students participate in resources during the school day. Resources include music, library, computer, physical education and Spanish. After school activities include band (5th-6th) and chorus (3rd-6th). Intramural athletics are offered throughout the school year for students in second through sixth grade. This includes soccer, basketball and cheerleading.

What parents are saying…

I am pleased with the parent/teacher communication, the level of instruction being given to my child, the Christian values and foundation he receives, and the care that is shown towards my child. The teachers are receptive and helpful and encourage my child.
