Community Service

FCCS encourages students to be servants to others and to follow the example of Jesus Christ through community involvement, caring for the needs of others, and developing leadership skills.  Several groups within the FCCS family are actively involved in community service in the greater Jacksonville area throughout the school year. This involvement has allowed great opportunity for the students’ personal growth and development.

Our FCCS student groups that are associated with these special projects include the Junior and Senior Beta Clubs, Spanish Honor Society, American Sign Language Class, National Honor Society, Knights Manors, and Leadership Class. These specific groups have had the chance to play a part in a great variety of community activities such as participating in beach clean-up, reaching out to the deaf community through special meetings, holding sporting events in order to raise funds for specific organizations, organizing food drives, and feeding the homeless in our city.  FCCS is also participating with the Chick-Fil-A Leader Academy in order to help our students develop more leadership qualities.

Organizations in which FCCS has been involved in or supported include:

  • American Heart Association
  • Builders’ Care
  • Clay and Duval county first responders
  • Florida Baptist Childrens’ Home
  • Nursing Home Ministry
  • Sulzbacher
  • The Donna Foundation
  • Trinity Rescue Mission
  • Wolfson’s Hospital

What parents are saying…

I am pleased with the parent/teacher communication, the level of instruction being given to my child, the Christian values and foundation he receives, and the care that is shown towards my child. The teachers are receptive and helpful and encourage my child.
