Opportunities to Thrive

First Coast Christian School offers various options for students to explore a love for fine arts. Beginning in upper elementary, students can pursue musical education through band and chorus classes, including participating in the annual FACCS Fine Arts Competitions to grow in their knowledge and performance skills. Visual and digital arts, including Journalism, begin in upper elementary as well, allowing for the development of artistic skills. In STEM Club, elementary and middle school students are prepared for the world of technology that awaits them. First Coast Christian School gives every student opportunities to express themselves and thrive to the Glory of Jesus!

Chorus

First Coast Christian School offers various options for students to achieve their high school fine arts credit. Led by our chorus director, students have multiple opportunities throughout the year to perform at both the local and state level. The Middle and High School Chorus, along with the Elementary Chorus, participate yearly in the Florida Association of Christian Colleges and Schools (FACCS) competitions, along with other performing and visual arts.

Band

FCCS offers three band classes throughout the school day, starting with Beginner Band for students in 5th grade. Middle School students have the opportunity to be a part of the Concert Band, while High School students gifted with musical talent can be a part of the Symphonic Band. The Concert and Symphonic Bands participate every year in the Florida Association of Christian Colleges and Schools (FACCS) competitions, as well as other local and state performances. Students also have the option to try out for the Sudden Impact Drumline, who perform at sporting events and pep rallies, as well as Chapel Band, who lead worship in the weekly Middle and High School chapel.

Visual arts

Through Journalism and Art, First Coast offers our students creative arts opportunities outside the musical classroom. In these courses, students will learn creativity from a visual perspective, being a part of the yearbook staff and showcasing at multiple events throughout the year. Visual Art is submitted to the FACCS competitions every year, giving students the chance to compete with their creative talent.

Stem

At FCCS, we implement technology into every aspect of the student experience. From 1:1 iPads, to STEM Club, we strive to prepare our students for the world of technology that awaits them. Teachers are encouraged to incorporate STEM activities into their daily curriculum, which allows them to utilize equipment such as smart boards, 3D printers, and robotics. We also offer Coding classes in both Middle and High school, for students desiring the challenge of learning a coding language.
